Hearing Aids

Starkey Hearing Technologies was founded in 1967 and is based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. It is the only American-owned and operated hearing aid manufacturer in the world. With the Starkey Research Institute based in Berkeley, Starkey brings innovation to their design and development, consistently producing new and advanced technology. Starkey has been awarded a number of industry prizes, including four Edison Awards, for the Halo, SoundLens, AMP and XINO Tinnitus products. The Starkey Hearing Foundation has donated more than 1 million hearing aids (for every hearing aid purchased) to developing countries with limited access to hearing technology.

Halo: Made for iPhone Hearing Aids

Starkey’s Halo was one of the first Made for iPhone hearing aids available on the market. In 2015, Starkey received the Silver Edison Award for the Halo. Now in its third iteration Halo iQ is one of the most advanced and smart hearing aids on the market. It is also designed to connect with other Apple products – iPhone, iPad, iPod, and other similar devices including Android. Wearers connect with the TruLink Hearing Control app, allowing them to stream phone calls, FaceTime, music, and other media directly from their iPhones to their hearing aids, for a natural listening experience.

The TruLink app also gives wearers another layer of freedom and accessibility through the GPS geo-tagging function. When you make adjustments to your listening experience in a location, the app saves your preferences. When you return to these saved locations, your Halo iQ hearing aids will automatically adjust to your saved preferences, for a natural and seamless listening experience. Wearers make adjustments to volumes and program settings through the TruLink app.

Halo iQ is designed to eliminate feedback noise such as whistling and buzzing. With excellent speech recognition features, Halo iQ allows wearers to hear comfortably in noisy situations. Equipped with Starkey’s Multiflex Tinnitus Technology, Halo iQ provides comfort for people who experience a “ringing of the ear.” Halo iQ is available in fully customizable colors, in both receiver-in-canal (RIC) and behind-the-ear (BTE) styles.
